Where We Started
Nathan Ames the owner and operator of the company started off as a kid cutting grass for neighbors. Shortly after graduating Nathan got a job for a local landscaping company and learned the landscape industry. In 2017 Nathan left his job as a landscaper to work in BWXT Canada. Shortly after becoming a factory worker June 2018, Nathan started Nathan's Lawn Maintenance. In late December 2021 we renamed to NLM Services and Solutions. In spring 2022 Nathan decided to pursue his passion and work full time as a landscaper for the company he started. We promise you won't be disappointed a personal touch with your job is what we go for. Myself and Ally can't wait to help.
We have been serving Cambridge and Waterloo region Ontario since 2012. We are open 6 days a week and spend the evenings returning any missed calls.

We've had Nathan and now NLMSS for several years for lawn services and snow clearing, and been very happy with the reliability and value (as described in previous reviews). The further organization and communication brought to NMLSS by Ally means the service is even better.
I discovered earlier this year that Nathan had expertise in roofing so asked if he could manage to reshingle our garden shed, which was desperately in need of attention. He kindly agreed and quoted, and managed to fit it in this past week, with assistance from a coworker.
We couldn't be more pleased. What I like about Nathan's work is that he applies the right thinking for the best long-term outcome as well as the immediate new appearance, the same approach as for the lawn. In the case of the roof the final result not only had the proper lining paper and drip edging (with the proper use of overlaps) and use of double shingles at the edges but he also added in supports for the plywood base joints, which had not originally been done.
As always his personable style and explanations made it a positive experience to get the work done. His coworker (also Nathan) also has good interactions and is efficient, with notable insights to how things can best be done (I think he does garden work as well).
It may be hard for Nathan to slot into his schedule now that he has become so much in demand, but if he can take on other similar roofing jobs (usually much too small to be done at reasonable price by larger roofing companies) when garden growth is less demanding it would be well worth asking. He knows exactly what he's doing and the final result is simply superb.
(Earlier review) Really excellent service for property care. We've had Nathan for several years now for yard maintenance and more recently snow-clearing. Couldn't be better. Very good service to Cambridge (we're in Galt). Lovely family business with good communication. What we really like is that Nathan understands what the yard needs and adjusts to the conditions and weather to get the best result. Completely honest and reliable. Couldn't give a higher recommendation.
